PASS Summit 2009 Release Party
Since a lot of the authors attended the PASS Summit 2009, there was a release book signing. There was a long line of attendees with books for the authors in attendance to sign. There were also books being passed down the line for authors to sign. Some were for charity, some for authors, and some for others, like this one:
(Thanks Aaron Nelson, aka @SqlVariant, for taking this pic!) In addition to this copy for Bill Gates, there were copies for Bill Baker and Steve Ballmer.
It was pretty cool to sign a book for these folks. I wish I’d thought of something more clever to say when signing the copies for Mr. Baker and Mr. Gates. I signed Mr. Ballmer’s copy “Executives! Executives! Executives!” I figure either he’ll find it humorous or you’ll be reading about “former MVP Andy Leonard” sometime in the future…

The copy to Bill Gates was sent to Bill via his foundation. The other copies were sent via Microsoft internal mail. I’m still without an address for Bill Baker (if you know his address email me: pauln@sqlserverbible.com)
