Some Upcoming Presentations

Introduction

I just looked at the calendar and Wow! I have a lot of presentations and pre-cons coming up in the next few months. I blame Karla Landrum (Blog | @KarlaKay22 | SQLPeople) for the pre-cons – she started all this with her invitation for me to present a pre-con to SQL Saturday – Pensacola (thanks Karla!).

Week-Long Presentations

17-21 Oct 2011 – Farmville, VA – From Zero To SSIS!
I personally designed this five-day SSIS course to teach you SSIS from the ground up! The course features hands-on labs and focuses on the parts of SSIS used most in real-world development. Details here.

Day-Long Presentations

18 Aug 2011 – SQL Solstice – Raleigh, NC – A Day of SSIS
Developed by Andy Leonard to train technology professionals in the fine art of using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to build data integration and Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) solutions. The training is focused around lectures and emphasizes a practical approach. The target audience for this training is database professionals, application developers, and business intelligence practitioners interested in acquiring or expanding their existing SSIS skill set. No experience with SQL Server or SQL Server Integration Services is required before attending this training. It is helpful (but not required) that students possess some knowledge of and experience with relational databases. SQL Server knowledge / experience will be more helpful than experience and knowledge with other technologies.

Training Objectives
At the conclusion of the training, attendees will have been exposed to:

Using SSIS to develop data integration solutions.
Using SSIS to load a database table.
Troubleshooting real-world SSIS Data Flow Task errors.
      Deploying SSIS Solutions.
Managing, monitoring, and administering SSIS in the enterprise

    29 Sep 2011 – SQLBits 9 – Liverpool, England – A Day of SSIS

10 Oct 2011 – PASS Summit 2011 – Seattle, WA – A Day of SSIS in the Enterprise
Co-presenting with Tim Mitchell (Blog | @Tim_Mitchell | SQLPeople) and Matt Masson (Blog | @mattmasson)!

    Single-Session Presentations

6 Aug 2011 – SQL Saturday #64 – Baton Rouge, LA – Designing an SSIS Framework and “I See a Control Flow. Now What?”

19 Aug 2011 – SQL Solstice – Raleigh, NC – SSIS Design Patterns

    20 Aug 2011 – SQL Solstice – Raleigh, NC – “I See a Control Flow. Now What?”

17 Sep 2011 – SQL Saturday #84 – Kalamazoo, MI – Designing an SSIS Framework and “I See a Control Flow. Now What?”

~12-14 Oct 2011 – PASS Summit 2011 – Seattle, WA – SSIS In The Enterprise

    Conclusion

It’s going to be a busy few months, but I am looking forward to meeting with old friends and making new friends! If you read this blog and find yourself attending one of these events, please introduce yourself. I’m the fat guy with a fu.

    1. I wanted to learn SSIS from you. Do you have any scheduled trianings in NJ or NY or PA region? Do you teach on weekends? Please let me know.

    2. Hi Indy,
I have conducted training in the Northeast US a few times. I may be leading a course in that region before the end of the year. I usually do not work on weekends.
I have an upcoming course in Farmville, VA the week of 17-21 Oct 2011. You can get details at http://andyleonard.net/training.asp.
