On 16 Nov 2021, the Microsoft SSIS Team released an update to version 3.15 of the Integration Services extension for Visual Studio 2019: SQL Server Integration Services Projects extension for Visual Studio 2019. An operative bullet for this version:

• SQL Server Integration Services Projects extension doesn’t support Visual Studio 2022 yet.

There remains an issue that has triggered a warning for developers using Visual Studio version 16.9 (it’s been fixed in v 16.10+):
