Update 19 Sep 2022: I communicated with the Microsoft SSIS Team. They shared they are targeting preview of VS2022 Integration Services Extension for the end of CY22.
Important Note: I have not yet tested this version of the Integrated Services Extension in Visual Studio 2022.
On 28 Jul 2021, the Microsoft SSIS Team released an update to version 4.1.2 of the Integration Services extension that includes support for Visual Studio 2022: SQL Server Integration Services Projects extension with support for Visual Studio 2022. An operative bullet for this version:
- This project may be used for building high performance data integration and workflow solutions, including extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) operations for data warehousing. Currently the supported target server version starts from SQL Server 2012 up to 2022. (emphasis mine)

In spite of seeing a Microsoft blog post stating this, it appears to be a mistaken for VS 22, when it should have stated SQL Server 2022. If you attempt to install this version for VS22, you get a message stated that it is not support.

Same here. I get a “this version of Visual Studio is not supported” for my Visual Studio 2022 Community Edition.
