“Do Philanthropy Where You Are”

That call to action from Microsoft Leadership struck a chord with many in the SQL Server MVP Community. The response? SQL Server MVP Deep Dives, released at the PASS Summit 2009. Proceeds from the sale of that book continue to go to War Child International.

It hasn’t stopped there, though. This year, SQL Server MVPs have completed SQL Server MVP Deep Dives 2, with proceeds donated to Operation Smile. There are copies available online and at the PASS Summit 2011 book store right now.

If you have your copy, you can join many of the authors and editors of this book today from 1:00-2:30 PM PDT between the Expo Hall and Dining Hall at the PASS Summit, where we will be honored to sign your copy. Many of us will also gather Friday morning from 7:15-8:00 AM in the South lobby by the bookstore .

It is truly an honor to participate in such an endeavor. Thanks to Manning, the editors, my fellow authors, and everyone else who worked to make SQL Server MVP Deep Dives 2 happen.

  1. Although the price of the "Deep Dives 2" is up there with various other technology books, I find extra joy in knowing that the coppy I ordered is contributing to a very worthwhile cause.  (It really softens the blow on the pocketbook. 😉
